Why this address does one thing

There are two complaints about a photograph and they sound similar until you separate them. One is a judgement: the picture is fine, it could be crisper. The other is a failure: the sign cannot be read, the face is smeared, the frame did not come out. This address exists for the second, and the first belongs somewhere with sliders on it.

That boundary decides everything here. Somebody arriving with a failed frame has no vocabulary for the operation and no expectation of controls — they are not looking for a radius, they are looking for the photograph to be usable. Handing them a console would be answering a question nobody asked.

• No radius, no amount, no threshold, no strength and no mask. The smear is measured from the frame, which makes every one of those a number you would be guessing at worse than the arithmetic already knows it.
• No queue and no folder. One frame at a time, because a pass taking seconds across four hundred files is a different product with a different shape.
• No character recognition. Making strokes legible and turning them into a string are separate operations, and chaining two operations belongs to the parent rather than here.
• No enlargement. Running a pass on a reduced copy and then scaling the result up is a tempting shortcut and it is somebody else's operation; doing it here would be quietly selling an upscaler.
• No account, no history, no saved settings. There is one decision on this page and it does not need remembering.

Advertising will, once this domain has been reviewed and approved. Nothing is served on these pages today; the placements are defined, their heights are reserved in the layout so that turning them on moves nothing, and the switch that enables them is off. When it is on, units will sit below the working surface and below the writing, never beside the rail and never above the canvas — an advertisement next to a progress readout is indistinguishable from part of the instrument, and that is not a trade this page will make.

Nothing is measured either. No analytics property is configured, no beacon is rendered, and no page view is counted. When that changes it will be with a cookie-free counter belonging to this domain alone, and the privacy page will be rewritten in the same release rather than afterwards.
