What the app keeps, and where
| adb-shell-v1 | This site's pages and code, so it opens offline. Never a photo. |
|---|---|
| adb-share-v1 | A photo shared from Android, for the moment it takes to open; deleted as soon as it opens. |
| adb-faces-v1 | The face finder, only if you asked for faces. |
| Preferences | Export format, guard, loupe size, folder concurrency, face-finder consent — in localStorage. |
Questions
Is this a real app?
It is this website installed as an app (a progressive web app): its own icon, its own window, and it opens without a connection once you have used it. There is nothing to download from an app store and no account.
What does installing store on my phone?
This site's own pages and code, in your browser's Cache Storage, so the workspace opens offline. Never a photo. Remove the offline copy on this page at any time.
How does sharing a photo into it work?
On Android, once installed, AIDeblur appears in the Share menu. The shared photo is handed to the app inside your browser by its service worker and opens in the workspace; it is not sent anywhere and not kept after it opens.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes, through Safari's Add to Home Screen, and it works offline after first use. iOS does not let web apps appear in the Share menu, so open photos from inside the app.
When won't it work offline?
Before you have opened it once with a connection, after you remove the offline copy, and for the optional face finder, which is fetched the first time you ask for it.
